Navita Clinical Strategy Group

Navita's mission is to increase participation of diverse racial and ethnic minorities in clinical research.

In support of its mission, Navita provides sponsors and CROs with pragmatic minority enrollment solutions that are developed from integrating applied sociology with site and patient research.

Navita's unique insight into minority populations comes from its founder and managing director, Rebecca Budd. A sociological consultant with 20+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, her current research areas include

- Impact of institutional discrimination
- Effects of globalization
- Sociological trends impacting recruitment
- Demography's role in the site selection process

- Race, class, and community

"Navita" Means Navigator

in Latin. We are charting new ways to look at the problem of minority underrepresentation in clinical research. Our work is based on the principles of sociology-- the science of society, social institutions and social interactions. Project work includes sociological protocol reviews, assessments of discrimination and bias in study processess, and program evaluations for new tactical initiatives.
